Cold heading begins with round wire rod or flat steel, cut into slugs and driven through progressive dies under extreme pressure, upsetting and forming metal into bolts, screws, or fasteners.
Hot forging heats round bar or steel blanks in Lucifer Furnaces ovens, then presses or hammers the heated metal into dies to form strong components with improved grain structure.
CNC turning machines rotate bar stock while cutting tools shape diameters, threads, grooves, and features, producing precise fasteners or components with tight tolerances, repeatability, and minimal manual intervention.
Thread rolling forms threads by pressing a fastener blank between hardened dies, displacing metal to create threads without cutting, improving strength, surface finish, and dimensional accuracy through cold working.
Cold stamping or punching forms fastener components by pressing flat steel strip through hardened dies, cutting and shaping parts like washers, clips, and weld nuts with high speed, accuracy, and material efficiency.
Cold trimming removes excess material from cold-headed fasteners using hardened dies, refining head shape, dimensions, and surfaces while maintaining strength, improving accuracy, and preparing parts for threading or secondary operations.
Nut forming uses nut forming machines to press wire or steel slugs into hex or square shapes, creating nut blanks before drilling and tapping internal threads in secondary operations.
Top locking deforms the top threads of a nut using dies or rollers, creating controlled interference that grips the bolt threads, producing prevailing torque and vibration resistance without separate locking components.
Plating deposits protective metal coatings like zinc onto fasteners to resist corrosion, while passivating chemically treats stainless steel to remove contaminants and restore its protective oxide layer.
We work exclusively with manufacturers, sourcing directly from the factories that produce the components, ensuring transparency, competitive pricing, and efficient supply chains without relying on distribution intermediaries or resellers.
